Swedish power pop luminary David Myhr has reunited with film composer Jimmy Lagnefors to deliver “(I Wish for You) A Merry Christmas,” a joyous holiday anthem featured in the Swedish comedy Hösten med Göran. Sparked by the creative challenge to imagine the 1973 Christmas classic John Lennon and Paul McCartney never wrote, the track is anchored by a tender, romantic narrative of a loved one journeying home through candlelight, swirling snowdrifts, and cherished memories of past winters. To complement this heartfelt story of reunion—complete with a chiming counter-melody echoing Westminster's Big Ben—the production employs an authentic, Phil Spector–inspired “Wall of Sound” featuring layered acoustic pianos, dynamic live percussion, rich brass and strings, and an exuberant sing-along choir, capturing the pure, comforting magic of the season across all major streaming platforms.
